01 / CAMPAIGN & BRAND FILMS
Give the audience a reason to care.
A campaign film has to do more than repeat the brief in better lighting. It needs an idea people can follow, a point of view the brand can stand behind, and a production plan that can deliver both.

THE APPROACH
Find the human tension
We begin with the audience: what they already know, what they resist, and what might make them see the subject differently. That question shapes the treatment. It may lead to a scripted scene, a documentary voice, a performance, animation or a combination. The camera comes after the idea; every shot has a job in the story.
A brand can be present without interrupting the film
Priority Seat carried StarHub's public-minded message through character and comedy, reaching more than 18 million views across social platforms. SMU IIE used different student stories and a visual reveal to give an institution a distinctive introduction. Faesol iLite made factory and laboratory process part of a commercial product film; Red Ink produced it except for the script. These briefs did not need the same format. They needed the right reason for the audience to keep watching.
From idea to usable campaign asset
A campaign engagement can include concept and treatment, script development where Red Ink owns the writing, casting, direction, live-action production, animation or graphics, editing and agreed versions for the intended channels.
A smaller event brief?
The Event Story Cut is a separately scoped way to give a live event a film that lives beyond the room. It is an event highlight option, not a substitute for a broader brand campaign.
RELEVANT WORK
See it in the work.
FEATURED WORKPriority Seat
An ordinary bus ride became a sharply observed comedy about who deserves a priority seat. Red Ink wrote, directed and produced the StarHub film, which has drawn more than 18 million views across social platforms. The point was never to lecture commuters. It was to make them recognise the situation, follow the characters and talk about the choice.
FEATURED WORKSMU IIE
We took SMU IIE’s institutional brief beyond the usual campus tour and talking heads. Students broke the fourth wall, split screens gave their stories pace and variety, and dynamic editing kept the film moving. Drone shots, time-lapse and motion graphics completed a brand film that captured the energy of the people behind the institution.
FEATURED WORKFaesol iLite
Factory workflows and laboratory processes became more than background footage in Faesol’s product film. Red Ink used interviews, live action and animation to make the work behind the product both understandable and visually compelling. Handling production and post-production, we created what Matthew Low, Marketing Consultant, Faesol Pte Ltd, called “movie-like scenes that truly accented the key points the brand stood for.”
For a live event, Event Story Cut is a separately scoped way to give the story a life beyond the room.
Discuss an event briefDo we need a finished idea?
No. Bring the message, audience and goals. Red Ink can develop a creative route before a script or production plan is settled.
Can Red Ink develop the creative concept?
Yes. The work can begin with audience insight, concept and treatment, then move through writing and production as the brief requires.
How long does a campaign film usually take?
Timing depends on the idea, cast, locations, approvals and deliverables. We will map a schedule after discussing the brief and decision makers.
Can one production create assets for several channels?
It can when those outputs are planned before filming. We will discuss the formats and use cases early so the production can be scoped for them.
THE NEXT FRAME
Have a message worth getting right?
Share the brief while there is still room to make it better. We will look at the audience, the decision the film needs to help them make, and the practical constraints before recommending a route.
